Critical Maintenance Capital Levy 2025

On April 22, 2025, voters in the Enumclaw School District will have the opportunity to vote on a $12 million capital levy to support critical improvements to school facilities. This levy will provide $3 million per year over four years (2026–2029) to fund urgent facility repairs, student health and safety improvements, and critical infrastructure needs such as roof replacements, HVAC systems, fire panels, and electronic access controls.
Despite ongoing maintenance, aging buildings require significant repairs to prevent safety hazards, maintain operational efficiency, and extend the lifespan of district facilities. Schools rely on HVAC, boilers, water heaters, and pumps to provide comfortable learning conditions. Additionally, fire alarm systems and building access controls are essential for student safety. The levy will also provide funding for kitchen equipment to support school nutrition programs and fund school bus radios and GPS systems for safer, more efficient transportation.
With an aging infrastructure, this levy funding will be used to ensure ESD schools remain safe, functional, and capable of meeting the needs of students today and in the future.
