
UPDATE: Students and staff are safe. Law enforcement has confirmed the device in the Enumclaw Middle School courtyard was a cell phone battery that caught fire after being thrown to the ground. The fire was immediately extinguished. We have confirmed there were no injuries. Students and staff are still safely evacuated, and law enforcement has cleared the school and surrounding exterior. Enumclaw Middle School has been evacuated by the Enumclaw Police Department after a small explosive device detonated outside in the school courtyard. Students and staff are safely evacuated. We will provide updates as soon as we receive them.

REMINDER: To recover lost instructional time from closures during the November Cyclone windstorm, Friday, March 21, and Friday, May 23, are now REGULAR SCHOOL DAYS. Please note that these are NOT early release days, as they must meet state instructional hour requirements.

SCHEDULED DOWNTIME: Skyward will be down for scheduled maintenance on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Maintenance should be complete by 9:00 pm.

Register now for the Spring 2025 Guiding Good Choices workshop provided by Enumclaw Youth Empowered.
Enumclaw Youth Empowered is a local coalition working to educate, engage, and empower our community to support youth and families in the prevention of youth substance abuse.
In partnership with the Enumclaw School District, they will once again be offering Guiding Good Choices on Tuesdays this October.
This workshop is FREE to parents and caregivers of kids ages roughly 9-14. DINNER and CHILDCARE are included!
Taught by a licensed therapist specializing in youth, this workshop helps caregivers learn how to:
Strengthen family bonds
Reduce family conflict
Support kids to build resistance skills
Set clear family rules to keep kids safe and make positive choices

Last weekend, our 5th-grade students participated in Colors of the Rainbow, an exciting ballroom dance competition that is part of the Dancing Classrooms program. Competing against other schools, our students showcased their incredible dedication, teamwork, and talent on the dance floor.
We are thrilled to share that Black Diamond Elementary earned 1st place in this prestigious event! This achievement is a testament to the hard work of our students and the support from their families and teachers. Congratulations to all involved in making this memorable experience a success!






Celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Last Friday, our school came together for a heartfelt MLK Day Assembly to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The event featured beautiful student performances, including singing and poetry readings, which truly brought Dr. King’s message to life. Principal Bull also shared a touching story that inspired reflection and hope. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this celebration of Dr. King’s vision so meaningful! We also had a beautiful art piece created by all of our students.

What an amazing time our 5th graders had with Dancing Classrooms!
