Education Support Professionals are the custodians, technology team members, office managers, secretaries and assistants, nutrition services staff, bus drivers, paraeducators, and many others who play an essential role in ensuring the smooth operation of our district. Education Support Professionals Week is March 11 - 15, 2024, and we want to spend it thanking, honoring, and celebrating these ESD educators and all they do for students and families!
Custodians, Facilities, and Ground crews are often the first to arrive and the last to leave each day! They work tirelessly to maintain a clean and safe environment for students and staff. Their efforts extend well beyond the basic upkeep we see; these guardians of health and safety maintain our spaces are always ready for learning and growth.
Administrative Assistants, Office Managers, Secretaries, Health Room Staff, Couriers, Security, and Technology Team Members are the ultimate organizers of systems and processes! They juggle a wide assortment of tasks to support staff, parents, and students' needs, and all things behind the scenes. Their efficiency and dedication to keeping school buildings and various departments running smoothly is an integral piece of our ESD puzzle.
Nutrition Services Staff feed bodies and minds. Thousands of meals are prepared daily for students and staff, making sure that no one goes hungry. Beyond meals, these staff members are some of the most friendly and welcoming faces, offering a moment of warmth and comfort during the busy school day.
Bus drivers start the school day for most students. In addition to setting the tone for the day, transportation staff navigate traffic and weather conditions to get students safely to and from school. The Transportation Team of drivers, mechanics, and dispatchers not only provides physical safety on the road but also a sense of stability and routine in students’ lives.
Paraeducators are everywhere students are! Often working closely with students, paraeducators play a crucial role in fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments inside and outside the classroom. Whether with one-on-one assistance, facilitating small groups, on the playground, or in the hallways, they are significant contributors to student learning.
Without the dedication of Education Support Professionals, the Enumclaw School District would be incomplete. These educators work tirelessly for the entire school community, touching the lives of students, families, teachers, and administrators alike. Let us all take time this week to recognize the incredible contributions of our Education Support Professionals, inspiring students to learn, lead, and impact their community and the world.
